Description:
As amodel technician you will be responsible for helping improve teeth and for replacing lost teeth. You will improve teeth for aesthetic reasons, and work to the prescription of a dentist to make bridges, crowns, and dentures.
General Responsibilities:
- Disinfect contents
- Pour models, label the models, pin & cut, rough trim the dies, articulate models
- Pour denture models
- Acid etch e.max
- Barcode scan all completed work
- Clear communication with team members
- Keep workspace clean and organized
- Report malfunctioning equipment
Other duties:
- Retrieve crowns from sintering furnace and place on corresponding models/case pans
- Prep zirconia: cut off sprues (pre-sintered)
- Scan models in CAD
- Duplicate models
- Make thermoform stents and bleaching trays
- Unpack/pack cases at receiving and shipping
- Maintain department supplies and materials
- Monitor plaster trap
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Dental Technician or equivalent education and experience
- Experience in dental technology, CAD design experience a plus
- Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner
- Must have a thorough understanding of porcelain pressing technology, crown morphology, and crown and bridge case design
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
