<p>Standard Broadband is one of Southern Ontario's largest independent telecommunications providers. Since 1998 Standard Broadband has been providing homes and businesses with reliable Internet, telephone and hosting solutions.</p><p>Job Summary</p><p>Standard Broadband is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative. This position will play a critical role in the growth of our business. Excellent attention to detail and superior communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must exhibit an ability to work in a self-motivated environment while maintaining a professional "customer first" attitude. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, career-oriented individual desirous of being part of an evolving organization.</p><p>Responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Handle incoming calls and emails from sales prospects and from existing corporate and residential customers</li><li>Process residential sales orders, provide follow-through and work with other departments to ensure streamlined operations</li><li>Provide accurate information regarding services, products, and promotions, ensuring customers fully understand their options</li><li>Handle billing inquiries and process payments</li><li>Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers</li><li>Take part in outside marketing efforts to create business with new customers, such as mailers and door to door advertising.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>The ideal candidate will have:</p><ul><li>Minimum one year customer service and/or sales experience</li><li>Prior experience in the Telecommunications industry is preferred</li><li>A vehicle and valid G class driver's license</li><li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings as the schedule requires</li><li>Highly motivated with a desire to be successful</li><li>Technical acumen would be an advantage</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Decision making, problem solving and creative thinking skills required</li><li>Proficient level computer skills a must (Microsoft Office at a minimum)</li><li>Ability to deal with people in a professional, courteous and friendly manner while exceeding customer expectations</li><li>Attention to detail and effective time management and organizational skills are necessary</li><li>Ability to work in a busy environment, multi-task, take direction when necessary, and handle concurrent tasks without close supervision</li><li>Work effectively in a team environment and have a willingness to learn in a quickly changing industry</li></ul><p>Standard Broadband is an equal employment opportunity employer.
