THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Cook to join our friendly team at Braddan Private Hospital. Will report to the Head Chef and Dietician
2 days a week to cover days off of current cook
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Dietitian to prepare appropriate menus for the residents
- Lead the kitchen in preparing the main meals
- Order all food and supplies for the kitchen
- Monitor food cost and maintain budget
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Request feedback from the residents about food preferences and menu development
- Prepare specialized and textured diets
Qualifications:
- experience working in a hotel/banquet/fine dining preferred
- experience in preparing specialized and textured diets preferred
- experience as a Food Nutrition and Support Manager preferred
- Red Seal or equivalent
- Proof of COVID vaccination
About:
Braddan Private Hospital is located in Vancouver’s ocean-side community of Kitsilano. It is a wonderful recently renovated home boasting beautiful views of the mountains and ocean through large windows. Beyond great care, residents can also take advantage of convenient access to local shops, restaurants and parks. Braddan Private Hospital works in collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority to offer funded beds but also has private pay rooms available.
