Contract Administrator
Location: Edmonton, AB
Compensation: $100-130K + Bonus
OPPORTUNITY
Our client, a well-established architecture and design firm with a strong Alberta presence, is seeking an experienced Architectural Contract Administrator to join their Calgary or Edmonton office.
This role is integral to project delivery during construction and is ideal for someone with contract administration and project management experience who is confident working directly with consultants, contractors, and site teams across a range of project types.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer construction contracts (CCDC-2 and CCDC-5) from tender through to project close-out
- Conduct regular site reviews on commercial, industrial, and multifamily residential projects
- Act as the main point of contact during construction, coordinating between design teams, consultants, and contractors
- Review and process RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, change orders, site instructions, and payment certifications
- Monitor construction progress to ensure quality, schedule, and design intent are maintained
- Complete and issue all required contract administration documentation
- Assist with construction issues, deficiencies, and close-out activities
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in an architectural contract administration role
- Proven experience conducting site reviews and administering construction contracts across varied project types
- Strong knowledge of CCDC contracts and construction processes
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills
- Work on a diverse portfolio of projects across Alberta
