This role is ideal for dependable, energetic individuals who enjoy working with the public and thrive in busy settings.<br><br><strong>Job Title:</strong> Concessions Stand Worker<br /><strong>Location:</strong> Scotiabank Centre – Halifax, NS<br /><strong>Shifts Available:</strong> Morning | Afternoon | Evening<br /><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $15.75 – $17.00 per hour (based on experience)<br><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and serve food and beverage items in accordance with health and safety regulations.</li><li>Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, in compliance with provincial laws and venue policies.</li><li>Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to accurately process customer orders and handle payments.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession stand and surrounding areas.</li><li>Restock supplies as needed to ensure efficient service throughout the event.</li><li>Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.</li><li>Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events.<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum age of 18 (due to alcohol service requirements).</li><li>Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., Serve Right or equivalent) or willingness to obtain prior to start.</li><li>Previous experience in food service, concessions, or customer service is considered an asset.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li><li>Must be able to pass a criminal background check.<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive hourly wage of $15.75 to $17.00, based on experience.</li><li>Flexible scheduling based on event needs.</li><li>Weekly pay.</li><li>Opportunity to work at one of Halifax’s premier entertainment venues.</li><li>Supportive team environment with potential for ongoing assignments and growth opportunities.</li></ul><br><br><strong>About Equation Staffing Solutions:</strong><p>Equation Staffing Solutions is a successful, award-winning Calgary based staffing and recruitment agency specializing in the placement of candidates on a temporary, contract or permanent basis.
