Job Description

Heritage Christian Online School is a thriving online learning community offering K-12 home and online education to students across the province. HCOS provides flexible solutions and programming tailored to every child's learning journey.

HCOS has an opening for a Community Connection EA Coordinator . This is a part-time, permanent, remote position. The primary purpose of this position is to support the EA Office and Learning Groups (LG) by managing the placement and logistics of Education Assistants (EA) at Community Connections (CC) locations across the province.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact between the EA office, administration, educators, and educational assistants (EAs).

Facilitate communication to assess EA needs and ensure appropriate placement.

Collaborate with recruitment teams to address hiring needs related to turnover and program growth.

Develop, implement, and maintain an onboarding process for new EAs.

Manage budget requests, including adjustments and cancellations.

Work closely with the EA office to oversee budget allocation and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Process invoices related to EA services on a monthly basis.

Coordinate with leadership to plan and implement professional development opportunities.

Conduct regular check-ins with EAs to provide support and address concerns.

Prepare and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters and emails.

Assist with the coordination of virtual meetings.

Contribute to planning and the implementation of new systems and procedures.

Facilitate the annual Expression of Interest process for EAs.

Travel to Community Connections locations within local region as required.

Qualifications:

Demonstrates a commitment to, and a lifestyle reflective of, the KCCS Foundational Beliefs

Experience in educational administration or a related field

Familiarity with the culture of CC/CC+ environments

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Ability to manage budgets efficiently

Experienced in recruitment and onboarding

Technologically proficient in Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, Zoom, and time and task management programs, etc.

What we offer:

Competitive salary: $27.04 – $28.43 per hour

24 hours per week
