Cloud Application Engineer
Job Description
LeverageTek is actively seeking a Cloud Application Developer for a 6-month contract with its Vancouver based customer
Work Location
Hybrid 3x a week on site at HQ in Vancouver
Key Tasks
- Build internal tools that automate workflows and increase productivity across departments
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development velocity, using cutting-edge AI-assisted coding techniques to build faster and smarter
- Develop product features using AI tools that can be rapidly prototyped and handed off to the core development team for implementation
- Contribute to architectural decisions and strategic technical initiatives
- Design and implement REST and GraphQL APIs that power internal and customer-facing applications
- Pioneer new development practices that demonstrate the power of AI-augmented engineering
Key Qualifications
- 3-5 years of full-stack development experience with strong proficiency in React, Node.js, and TypeScript, including hands-on design and implementation of REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Proven experience building on Google Cloud Platform, particularly with Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions) and BigQuery, and a solid understanding of cloud-native architectures.
- Experience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate development, rapidly prototype features, and push the boundaries of AI-augmented engineering.
Assets:
- Deep experience with Vertex AI or other Google AI services
- Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) services
- Track record of using AI to build products or features faster
- Experience building internal tools or developer productivity tools
- Background in rapid prototyping or POC development
- Experience in Salesforce development
- Familiarity with dealership management systems or Powersports/Trailer/RV/Golfcar/OPE dealer operations
