We would love for you to join our team </p><p>Are you the one we're looking for?</p><p>We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Client Care Worker who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness and empowerment; to our clients, families and each other.</p><p>Within a multi-disciplinary team, you will actively provide support and therapeutic services to individuals experiencing homelessness and living with acute alcohol dependency and related health and mental health issues. Services are based on a residential harm reduction approach to service delivery.</p><p>This position is a unionized, part time position, permanent position. The rate of pay is $21.79. Hours per week are 16. The schedule will be Fridays and Saturdays weekly from 12am-8am.</p><p>Key Responsibilities: </p><ol><li>Work effectively within a strengths-based client-centered approach to service delivery.</li><li>Assist with program engagements, assessments, case planning, and appropriate referrals of clients to facilitate client movement through the program and connection to community resources.</li><li>Administer medications and appropriately document distribution, according to the established guidelines of the program.</li><li>Administer alcohol and appropriately document, according to the established guidelines of the program.</li><li>Actively engage individual clients to assess their readiness, motivation and confidence to move through change, ensure residential stability and safety within the program.</li><li>Participate in meal planning and preparation (menus) consistent with nutritional guidelines, maintenance of food supplies and all other program supplies including bottling of beer, making and purchasing of wine; within the social and recreational goals of a residential managed alcohol program of 15 or more residents.</li><li>Document and input information, in individual client files and all program communication logs and information sheets, manually and in the Client Outcome Tracking System.</li><li>Respond according to program protocols to emergency or crisis situation.</li><li>When appropriate and required, interact with internal and external service providers.</li><li>Attend and participate in all relevant staff meetings and training opportunities, as requested.</li><li>Provide coverage for other employees on shift, as required.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ol><p>What you will bring:</p><ol><li>Post-secondary degree or diploma in Social Services, or an equivalent recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and relevant past experience.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience, effectively working with marginalized populations experiencing homelessness and a demonstrated ability to form rapport with target population.</li><li>Experience providing client-centered services within a multi-disciplinary team of providers.</li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills.</li><li>Must be willing to work flexible hours.</li><li>Non-violent crisis intervention - first aid/CPR certification.</li></ol><p>Invest in Yourself as we Invest in You Wesley offers…</p><ul><li>A positive work culture that prioritizes all staff having an opportunity to contribute</li><li>A supportive team that will empower you to achieve great milestones</li><li>Fun and engaging organizational events such as our Staff Appreciation Event</li><li>Professional development and training opportunities</li><li>Full Health & Dental Benefits</li><li>Personal & Vacation Days</li><li>RRSP Contribution Program</li><li>Employee Discounts</li></ul><p>Please Apply Via: Our Wesley Bamboo Portal: </p><ol><li>Click on this link: <br></li><li>From there you can access all of Wesley's job postings<br></li></ol><p>Wesley is an equal opportunity employer.
