Job Description
We are seeking skilled Clamp Truck Operators to join our team in Delta, BC. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouse operations.Duties:
- Operate a forklift to transport goods and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks using a clamp truck.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas.
- Perform inventory control activities such as counting and verifying stock.
- Daily preventative maintenance on the forklift and clamp truck must be carried out in accordance with safety inspection regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven 2-3 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes.
- Basic math skills for inventory control purposes.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employees.
