About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Financial Planning and Chief Budget Officer to serve as a strategic budget officer and a key partner in financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of financial and organizational matters, including budget development, financial strategy, process improvement, and forecasting. This role is pivotal in the institution’s growth and transition, particularly in the implementation of a new budget model with a focus on accountability. The VPFP&CBO will be expected to lead internal analysis of budget processes, identify opportunities for efficiency, and work on long-range financial planning and strategic initiatives. Applicants for the VPFP&CBO position at the company should have a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and a proven track record in financial management, particularly within a non-profit, academic setting. The role requires a leader with experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, and budgeting, as well as the ability to manage a diverse range of constituents and work collaboratively with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be adept at financial modeling, forecasting, and have a strong understanding of current accounting and finance principles.
