Camp Program Coordinator
Job Description
Partners in Parenting is searching for a dynamic, caring, and creative Camp Program Coordinator for our summer camp programs Targeted start date: Contract from April 2026- August 14, 2026
As the Camp Coordinator, you will provide hands on support during program hours to ensure camper safety and engagement. Oversee the development and implementation of the program and assist employees in the day to day care of the campers.
The Camp Program Coordinator position will be a full-time role with shifts Monday- Friday's 8:30am-4:30pm or as otherwise agreed upon daytime hours.
To be successful in this role you must have experience with the following:
- Supporting children with Autism and complex special needs
- Working with families
- Developing and implementing recreational programming
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing and training a team
- Able to multitask in a busy environment
- You must have the patience and ability to handle challenging behaviour and implement positive, supportive behavioural management techniques
- Be comfortable supporting clients with personal hygiene routines and medication administration.
- Ensure all social needs are being met
- Effective conflict resolution, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Required:
- Standard First aid & CPR level C
- Experience supporting people with disabilities
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Clear Children's Aid Record Check
- Ability to work the rotation as mentioned above
- Access to a reliable vehicle, clean driver's abstract and valid G License (G2 acceptable in some cases as well)
Education requirements: Post-secondary accreditation, or currently studying in Social Work, CYC, DSW, ECE, Special Education or similar field and/or minimum of 2 years experience working with children/ adults with complex needs.
