This is an hourly position, working up to 40 hours per week from June 2026 to September 2026. Holiday, evening, and weekend shifts will be periodically required.

The Opportunity


We are seeking several Camp Counsellors, who will guide large and small groups of children through exciting outdoor activities, games, interpretive talks, and hands‑on learning. Camp Counsellors will ensure extraordinary experiences for our guests by creating a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere with a sense of belonging and respect.


Reporting to the Manager, Education & Programming, Camp Counsellors will be responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision of campers while working to encourage the development of new skills, create unforgettable memories, and build a strong connection to the Park, Zoo, and Leaf.


Required Education, Training, and Experience



  • Pursuing post‑secondary education in the areas of Education, Recreation, Early Childhood Education, Environmental Studies/Sciences or related field is considered an asset.

  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with children or in a leadership role is preferred.

  • Experience with public speaking, coordinating group dynamics, and teaching youth is an asset.

  • The ability to speak French and/or other languages is an asset.

  • Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check mandatory for this position.

  • Possession of a valid Manitoba Driver’s License, or the ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.

  • Current First Aid and CPR.

  • An equivalent combination of skills and experience may be considered.
