Our client in the real estate sector is seeking a skilled Building Operator who takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing commercial office buildings. You will work closely with property managers, contractors, and tenants to ensure building systems run smoothly and issues are resolved quickly. Your Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will perform daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
  • You will monitor and optimize building automation systems to support energy efficiency.
  • You will conduct regular building inspections and take proactive steps to resolve issues.
  • You will coordinate with contractors and vendors to complete maintenance and repair work.
  • You will maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and operational activities.
  • You will participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours needs across the portfolio.
  • You will provide attentive customer service to tenants, helping maintain a positive and reliable environment.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive building operations experience in commercial environments, ideally office buildings
  • Experience with building automation systems is an asset
  • Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and comfort working both independently and within a team
