Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Experience in the CPG Industry is strongly recommended. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records through data entry and account reconciliation.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks (preferred), Sage, or Xero for daily bookkeeping tasks.
  • Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and monitor expenditures against budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Must resided in the greater-Edmonton, Alberta, area.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Bookkeeping in the CPG industry is strongly recommended
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and payroll processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports effectively.
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $39,625.99-$59,500.00 per year
