<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Automotive Parts Person (Parts Advisor / Counterperson)<p><strong>Location:</strong> Richmond, BC<br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time<br /><strong>Reports To:</strong> Parts Manager / Fixed Ops Manager</p>About the Role<p>As an Automotive Parts Person, you’ll be the go-to expert for identifying, sourcing, and supplying the right parts—fast. You’ll combine strong catalogue knowledge with excellent customer service to support technicians, retail customers, and wholesale accounts. Your accuracy keeps ROs moving and your communication keeps customers happy.</p>Key Responsibilities<ul><li><p>Identify correct parts by make/model/year and parts catalogue; confirm fitment and availability</p></li><li><p>Deliver best-in-class customer service: answer inquiries, research parts, and provide cost estimates</p></li><li><p>Manage inventory: order/receive, track stock levels, and ensure the right parts are on hand when needed</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate records for sales, invoices, receipts, cores, and returns</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with Service to stage parts for repairs and meet shop timelines</p></li><li><p>Proactively maintain automated inventory replenishment lists</p></li></ul>Measurables (KPIs)<ul><li><p><strong>Customer Satisfaction:</strong> OEM surveys / online reviews reflect prompt, accurate service</p></li><li><p><strong>Sales Revenue:</strong> Parts sales growth driven by needs-based recommendations</p></li><li><p><strong>Fill Rate:</strong> High percentage of orders filled correctly and on time</p></li><li><p><strong>Accuracy Rate:</strong> Minimal errors on orders, invoices, and picks</p></li><li><p><strong>Productivity:</strong> Parts sold per hour, time to identify parts, and transaction cycle time</p></li></ul>What You Bring<ul><li><p>1+ year of experience in an <strong>Automotive Parts Department</strong></p></li><li><p>Customer-first mindset and a “find-a-way-to-yes” attitude</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of vehicle components and basic parts operations</p></li><li><p>Ability to multitask with exceptional detail and accuracy</p></li><li><p>Strong organization skills to handle priorities, manage workload, and meet deadlines</p></li></ul>Compensation<ul><li><p>Monthly base salary <strong>plus variable profit-share component</strong></p></li><li><p>Expected total compensation range <strong>$40,000 – $80,000 annually</strong>, depending on performance</p></li><li><p>Final base compensation determined by knowledge, skills, experience, and other relevant factors</p></li><li>Range provided as a general guideline; may vary based on candidate qualifications and expertise</li></ul><p><b>ADDITIONAL INFO:</b><br />When you apply for this position, you give the Recruiting Room permission to share your information with other team members and our network of employers.
