CIeNET welcomes skilled, dedicated, innovative and motivated professionals to join our team in developing a promising career with us.</p><p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p><p>Our client, a leading company in the Automotive Manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Apprenticeship Program <span >Coordinator/Supervisor</span> to manage and promote the apprenticeship program ASEP (Automotive Service Education Program). </p><p>Responsibilities include working with provincial governments and local Community Colleges, the candidate will advance the ASEP Apprenticeship program & recruitment strategies to support and strengthen the program. </p><p>Responsible for supporting the technical training development team through facility support and R&D. Planning & scheduling factory trained technicians including the deployment of technician curriculum. Training Center capacity planning, course deployment and level scheduling are core responsibilities supported by 2 direct reports. </p><p>Technical aptitude is essential to this role. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal direction. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Grow ASEP apprenticeship program recruitment through provincial and college relationships</li><li>Support and advocate ASEP at a National level</li><li>Remote Training Center/Instructor IT and facilities support</li><li>Assist in Product Service Training development and deployment</li><li>Interface cross functionally within the company as required</li><li>U.S Travel required for cross-functional activities</li><li>Any other duties as required</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Required Skills and Experiences:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of General Motors Automotive industry experience.</li><li>Preferred journeyman automotive technician with a valid Red Seal certification </li><li>Knowledge of the Apprenticeship program (preferably ASEP)</li><li>Working knowledge of automotive systems, and GM OEM experience preferred</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently of daily supervision</li><li>Be good with promotion and can go to a job fair and sell the apprenticeship program, outgoing personality</li><li>Strong collaboration, communication and outreach skills</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint</li><li>Valid driver’s license as driving a vehicle is an essential function of this position</li><li>Able to obtain a valid passport and be able to travel to the U.S.</li><li>Some overnight travel required</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Preferred qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Journeyman automotive technician with a valid Red Seal certification such as 310S license is preferred.</li><li>GM Dealership technician experience as an ASEP apprentice is preferred.</li><li>Bilingual proficiency in French and English is a plus.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Education and Training:</strong></p><p>Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent <span >experience/training</span> required.</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Extended group insurance including prescription drugs, dental and vision cares</li><li>RRSP employer match</li><li>15 days annual vacation</li></ul><p></p><p>CIeNET offers equal opportunities to people.
