They provide high quality leisure products that not only look good but also enhance a wearer’s lifestyle.</p><h3>Perks</h3><ul><li>Family oriented and happy work environment</li><li>Monday to Friday – day shifts</li><li>Stable company, in business for over 22 years</li><li>Family environment</li><li>No evening or weekend shifts</li></ul><h3>Reporting</h3><p><b>Reports to:</b> Store Manager</p><h3>Opportunity Overview</h3><p>To support our retail store operations, we are seeking a highly skilled, experienced <b>Assistant Store Manager</b> that will drive operational excellence, with hands on leadership and guidance for our store soon to be relocated.</p><h3>Job Summary</h3><p>The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail footwear store. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining inventory, and upholding store standards.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff.</li><li>Supervise and motivate employees to perform at their best.</li><li>Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.</li><li>Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.</li><li>Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.</li><li>Ensure the team delivers outstanding customer service.</li><li>Handle customer complaints and issues professionally.</li><li>Train staff on customer service best practices and product knowledge.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.</li><li>Assist in setting and achieving sales targets.</li><li>Monitor and analyze sales performance and implement action plans for improvement.</li><li>Execute promotional campaigns and suggest marketing strategies to increase sales.</li><li>Ensure accurate cash handling and manage store funds.</li><li>Oversee inventory levels and ensure stock is maintained at optimal levels.</li><li>Conduct regular stock checks and manage discrepancies.</li><li>Coordinate with the Store Manager and suppliers for stock replenishment.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of inventory and sales.</li><li>Ensure the store is visually appealing and adheres to brand standards.</li><li>Implement visual merchandising plans and promotional displays.</li><li>Monitor and adjust product placement to maximize sales.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintain store security and safety standards.</li><li>Oversee store opening and closing procedures.</li><li>Prepare reports on sales, staff performance, and other operational metrics.</li><li>Physical requirements: ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds, climb ladders if needed.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li><b>Education:</b> High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.</li><li><b>Experience:</b> Minimum of 2 years retail management experience, preferably in footwear.</li><li><b>Skills:</b> Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software.</li><li><b>Attributes:</b> Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
