Job Description

The Driller's Helper is a crucial part of the 2 person drilling crew, responsible for supporting the day to day operation of the drilling rig including operation, mobilization, de-mobilization, maintenance and safety. The assistant role is a physically demanding position ideal for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all site specific safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Actively participate in all safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, etc.
  • Help conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
  • Help the Driller in the daily operation of drilling rig.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean.
  • Perform general labouring duties as required.
  • G License required.
  • Having a DZ license is considered an asset.
