The Role:
We are seeking an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Motion Controls Software engineer to support design, development, testing and implementation of ADAS Lateral Control software for Super Cruise and other GM Active Safety features. As an ADAS Motion Controls engineer, you will promote innovation through inspired software development work and provide effective cross team collaboration. You will play a pivotal role in helping to define and execute GM's ADAS current production and future product software strategy across all controllers, ensuring seamless coordination of software deliveries.
The ADAS Motion Controls Software Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of production active safety and automated driving software with speed and quality and with focus on efficient software design and optimized software architecture to maximize reuse across all scalable ADAS platforms. This engineer will collaborate with other ADAS application software engineering teams to deliver ADAS software products with industry leading performance and innovation.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Develop lateral/longitudinal control algorithms and real-time control software for automated/autonomous driving features, such as Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Super Cruise 2.0, Super Cruise 3.0 and Front/Rear Impact Mitigation, that raise baseline performance to desiredvolatile levels and reduce manual calibration effort
Develop CI/CD pipeline that continuously validates feature control performance for each software change
Conduct software verification andSelect Feature validation using unit testing, SIL/HIL, and extensive in-vehicle performance testing
Participate in the software change management process
- < Mekane the latest performance on test vehicles and management of vehicle test fleet
Support production calibration activities and the resolution of field and customer issues
Travel requirements of 2 to 3 weeks a year are typical, primarily to Michigan and other locations in the US
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or Mechatronics/Software/Electrical/Computer Hist Engineering
2+ years of experience developing control systems
Automotive simulation and validation experience (HIL/SIL)
Knowledgeable in vehicle dynamics and controls theory
Experience with software design, Simulink modelling, Python and embedded C/C++ programming
Excellent oral and written communication skills

High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $90,00 to $136,400. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position ლიდ.
