What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Data Pipeline Architecture:
    Design, develop, and maintain scalable data management systems. Ensure these systems meet business goals and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Data Integration and Orchestration:
    Create high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proofs of concept. Integrate new data management tools and software engineering techniques into existing structures.
  • Data Storage and Processing:
    Implement robust data storage solutions to manage data volume, velocity, and variety. Enhance data retrieval and processing capabilities to meet stakeholder needs efficiently.
  • Collaboration with AI Teams:
    Work closely with AI researchers, data engineers, and software developers to seamlessly incorporate AI and machine learning models into the data infrastructure.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Regularly monitor, test, and optimize the performance of data systems to meet evolving business demands.
  • Innovation and Research:
    Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and data engineering. Embrace emerging technologies and methodologies to strengthen our AI capabilities.

What You Should Bring:

  • Proven Experience:
    Demonstrable experience in data engineering with a focus on AI projects. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and foundational software engineering principles.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Hands-on experience with data tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka), data pipeline and workflow tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, Scala, or Java.
  • Data Modeling and Analytics:
    Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their application in big data contexts.
  • Communication Skills:
    Exceptional communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in and attending school, pursuing a master’s in computer science, Data Science, Operations Research, or another quantitative field
  • Expected graduation by August 2026
