They are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer (P.Eng) to play a pivotal role in coordinating, sequencing, and advancing major capital initiatives across their distribution network. • Gain exposure to large-scale capital planning within a stable utility environment
  • Secure long-term contract stability with renewal potential
What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Develop and manage integrated capital execution schedules for modernization initiatives
  • Coordinate engineering design, procurement, and construction timelines
  • Support distribution automation, feeder upgrades, and substation programs
  • Perform critical path analysis and schedule risk assessments
  • Validate technical sequencing to ensure reliability and operational continuity
  • Provide engineering-informed input to capital planning decisions
  • Support regulatory and capital reporting documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive modernization milestones
What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Active P.Eng designation in Ontario
  • 8–12 years of experience in a utility distribution environment
  • Experience supporting capital planning or modernization programs
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Distribution systems
  • Feeder and substation upgrades
  • Protection & Control fundamentals
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  • Confidence engaging both technical and operational stakeholders
Nice to Have

  • Exposure to smart grid or distribution automation initiatives
  • Experience with DER or EV infrastructure integration
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting environments
  • Experience within large LDC capital portfolios
The Impact You’ll Make

  • Strengthen grid resiliency and reliability
  • Contribute to modernization initiatives serving thousands of customers
  • Support strategic capital investment planning
  • Help shape the future of Ontario’s energy landscape

If you are a P.Eng with strong distribution expertise and are motivated by meaningful infrastructure transformation, we encourage you to apply.
