Under general supervision of the Public Works Director, performs tasks of an unskilled or semi-skilled nature which involve manual labor.
Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
Operates trash compactor, vehicles and uses hand tools to perform general sanitation and maintenance tasks. Duties primarily of a laboring or semi-skilled nature; performs manual laboring tasks as a crew member to assist citizens in sanitation disposal, deliver, pick-up and or repair sanitation carts, provide and/or assist with bulk item pick-up, help keep inventory of sanitation carts, maintain paperwork of sanitation services and billing information as well as minimal computer usage.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduating from high school or GED; possession of a valid driver license.
Supplemental information
Must be able to work at least 24 hours a week.
Schedule will be Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
