Cath Lab Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at a prestigious medical facility in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
This is a 13-week contract opportunity working 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, including administering medications and positioning patients
Maintain equipment and supplies, including calibrating imaging equipment and ordering necessary materials
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including cardiologists and nurses, to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
Requirements:
Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (RDCS) or Registered Cardiographic Technician (RCT)
At least 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
